At Rain Trees, your child will learn through play-based exploration. We follow the UK’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, which means children engage in lots of hands-on activities, creative play, and conversations. This approach helps them develop curiosity, resilience, and a love for learning, while also building strong academic foundations and essential social skills.
Yes, absolutely! Rain Trees graduates confidently transition to leading international schools like Tanglin Trust, Dulwich College, and UWC, among others. Our focus on developing well-rounded learners with strong social, emotional, and early academic skills ensures your child is well-equipped for their next steps, both in and out of the classroom.
We believe young children learn best through real-world experiences and personal interaction. That’s why our classrooms are screen-free and hands-on. We encourage conversation, creativity, movement, and play to help children build strong language skills, social confidence, and a deep understanding of the world around them.
Yes! All our teachers hold recognised degrees in early childhood education, and many have additional qualifications and years of experience. We’re proud of our talented and passionate team, who are dedicated to creating an environment where every child feels valued and inspired to learn.
Your child’s safety is our top priority. We develop a comprehensive Allergy Action Plan in partnership with parents and based on medical advice. Our staff are thoroughly trained in emergency response and EpiPen administration. We implement strict allergen avoidance, prevent cross-contamination, and ensure all staff are fully aware of individual allergies through clear communication and labelling.
Absolutely! Rain Trees welcomes children from diverse language backgrounds. Our play-based approach helps children develop English naturally and confidently through interacting with teachers and peers. It’s wonderful to see how quickly some children, who start with little or no English, progress with our support!
We always keep our classes small, typically with 14 to 20 children. This ensures that each child receives plenty of individual attention and builds strong relationships with their teachers and classmates. Small groups are key to creating the best environment for children to grow in confidence and develop foundational skills.
Rain Trees attracts families who are ambitious for their children’s futures and seek much more than just daycare. Our parents value a personalized, nurturing environment where each child is truly seen and supported to develop their unique potential. They understand that our play-based, child-centered philosophy, which emphasizes creativity, curiosity, and well-being, is foundational to a child’s long-term success.
For children who have dropped their afternoon naps, we can offer a full-day program up to 2:30 PM and an extended day until 3:30 PM.
We certainly believe so, and so do our families! Rain Trees is known for its warm, friendly atmosphere where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. Visitors often comment on the happy, engaged children they see here, and many of our parents tell us their children can’t wait to come to school each day.
We welcome the opportunity to discuss your child’s individual needs. We encourage you to schedule a visit so we can understand how best to support them. We are committed to ensuring every child’s well-being and happiness, and we’ll be happy to enrol children if we are confident we can provide the best possible care and education. Depending on specific needs, we may recommend the support of a shadow teacher to ensure their safety and provide tailored intervention.
